DIY Mason Jar Lid Tree Ornaments
I’m always looking to add a handmade touch to my Christmas tree every year, and I think I just found my next project. These Mason Jar Lid ornaments are perfect for a rustic tree theme, and the best part of them is that they are fully customizable. The ones pictures in this post are made with flannel fabric and holiday cut outs, but you can use any fabric you’d like and any kind of cut out. You could even write the date of baby’s first Christmas etc on them. Check these out, they’ll only take you 20 minutes to put together!
What you’ll need:
– Mason jar lid and screw ring (you can buy these in packs in the canning section of any big box or hardware store)
– Fabric scraps (An old flannel shirt would work great)
– Hot glue gun
– Image/Cutout/Sticker to place in the center of the ornament
Start by wrapping the lid insert (not the screw ring) with the fabric and glueing it down in the center.
Attach your twine around the screw ring so the ornament can be hung on your tree.
Run a thin line of glue around the inside of the screw band and then press your cover lid into it.
Glue your image/cutout/sticker onto the flannel. The smaller your image, the less glue you’ll want to use.
